North Central Missouri Children's Advocacy Center

The North Central Missouri Children's Advocacy Center will be holding its 4^th Annual Champagne & Diamond Dinner and Dance fundraising event. Lauhoff Jewelry has generously committed to donating another beautiful item of diamond jewelry for this event.  People often ask, “What can I do to help abused children?”  The best answer is “support, however you can what we do.”  All of our services to these children and the agencies involved in the investigation and protection of children are at no cost to them.  These children are the foundation of your communities.  Do whatever you can to strengthen the foundation where it’s needed most.  Those not behind the scenes have no idea what it means to them.

Based on our 2012 statistics, the majority of the children seen at the Advocacy Center are present for sexual abuse, are female, under the age of 10 with a male offender, over the age of 18.  The offender is most often a natural parent or other relative.  These cases are done in secret, without witness or physical evidence, making them extremely hard to investigate.  At the very least the Advocacy Center wants to see these children obtain resiliency and cope with these often traumatic events.  Your support allows the Advocacy Center to provide counseling and other services for these victims at no cost to the child and family.

Please help us continue these services for these children by attending (or donating) to our event, investing in your community.  Social hour is between 5:00-6:00 p.m., dinner is at 6:00 p.m., with dancing and a live auction of themed gift baskets to follow.  Tickets will be available for purchase at Lauhoff Jewelry in Trenton & Chillicothe, Chillicothe Country Club or The Children's Advocacy Center at 906 Main Street in Trenton, MO. The North Central Missouri Children's Advocacy Center assisted the Trenton Downtown Improvement Association in their annual Chili Cook-off.  A portion of the proceeds from this event went to the Advocacy Center in support of their efforts of serving abused children.  A total of $401.56 will go to the Center for continued service to children.  Thanks to all who participated because it certainly was fun!

PAR Broadcast Group & Clark’s Furniture have teamed up to host their first annual Benefit Soiree with this year’s beneficiary to be the North Central Missouri Children’s Advocacy Center. This event will be held at the Trenton Elk’s Lodge 801, September 22, 2011. Social hour begins at 5:30 p.m., dinner served at 6:30 p.m. The dinner menu is not yet known to us but will be catered by McJ’s on the Green so it is sure to be delicious. The North Central Missouri Children's Advocacy Center will co-sponsor with the Trenton Downtown Improvement Association (TDIA) at Five Points Chili Cook-Off on Saturday, June 18, 2011 @ 5 Points in Trenton. Set-up begins at 7:00 a.m. Preregister at the Chamber of Commerce, 617 Main Street. There are three separate competition categories and all fees & food donations may be tax deductable as the Advocacy Center and TDIA are both non-profit organizations.

This event will begin with a "Meet the Cooks" dinner on the evening of June 17, at the Trenton Elk's Lodge #801 in Trenton at 6:00 p.m. and a dance featuring "B.P. Willie" (Brad Perry) at 8:00 p.m.

Congratulations to the Trenton Cinema team for their first place win at the Trivia Event held by the Child Advocacy Center! This event raised a total of $1,890.89 to be used towards services to benefit children that have been abused in the north central area of Missouri.  Second and third place teams were KTTN of Trenton and the 43rd Circuit Children's Division.

The North Central Missouri Children’s Advocacy Center will hold its annual Trivia Event on April 15, 2011, at 6:30 p.m., at the First Assembly of God Church Activity Center located at 1107 E. 11^th in Trenton. Please note this is a change in location for all you regular players!  Come have fun and test your knowledge to benefit abused children in the North Central Missouri area.  Prizes awarded for 1^st- 3^rd place.  For more info, contact Stacy @ (660) 359-2874.

    This event will be held at the Chillicothe, Missouri, Country Club on Valentine's Day weekend, February 12, 2011.  Social hour is from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. with dinner served at 6:00 p.m., followed by dancing and a small auction of themed baskets.  In addition, with each glass of champagne or sparkling grape juice guests' purchase, they have a chance of winning a loose diamond that has been generously donated by Lauhoff's Jewelry.  The festivities will conclude with the revealing of the lucky diamond winner!

    Tickets for this event may be purchased at Hy-Vee Food Stores and Lauhoff Jewelry in both Trenton and Chillicothe or by contacting the Advocacy Center.  Tickets are $75 per couple or $50 per person and must be purchased in advance and by the February 7, 2011, deadline.

    Table sponsorships for this event are available.  A One Carat Sponsorship for $300 includes 6 tickets and a Two Carat Sponsorship for $500 includes 6 tickets and 6 glasses of champagne.

The North Central Missouri Children’s Advocacy Center would like to invite you to “Mizzou in Review,” a benefit dinner with guest speaker/reviewer wide receivers Coach Andy Hill of the University Missouri Tiger’s Football Team.  The dinner will be catered by Mc J’s on the Green and consist of Rosemary Pork Loin and Beef Medallions with Demi Glaze, baby roasted potatoes, steamed Rivera Blend vegetables, mixed green salad with craisins, candied walnuts and roasted garlic balsamic vinaigrette dressing and rolls.  Dessert will be your choice of Black Forest or Lemon Cream Layer Cake.  The dinner is a fundraiser to benefit abused children in the north central Missouri area.

The event is scheduled for Thursday, May 13, 2010, at 6:30 p.m., and will be held at the First Christian Church located at 1700 Princeton Road in Trenton.  This is a reserved seating only event and reservations must be made by May 5, 2010.  Tickets are $75 per person. If two or more tickets are purchased, or a total of $100 or more is donated, you will be eligible for a “Children in Crisis” tax credit deduction.  For more information concerning the dinner, please contact Stacy at 660-359-2874.

The North Central Missouri Children's Advocacy Center will be hosting a Trivia Event at the National Guard Armory in Trenton, Missouri, on April 16, 2010, beginning at 6:30 p.m.  Cost is $50 per team with up to 5 people on a team.  Prizes will be awarded for 1st - 3rd place.  Food and drinks will be made available while they last.  Proceeds benefit abused chhildren in the north central Missouri area, including but not limited to the following counties:  Caldwell, Carroll, Daviess, DeKalb, Grundy, Harrison, Linn, Livingston, Mercer, Putnam, Sullivan and the City of Cameron.  See the attached flyer and registration form if you are interested in becoming a part of this exciting challenge!  Anyone attending and wearing their "GO Blue" t-shirt will receive and "extra" door prize ticket!!
