The North Central Missouri Children's Advocacy Center and the Green Hills Animal Shelter have worked together to bring the first Run, Walk, Wag 5K Fun Run/Walk to Trenton, MO. To register for this event please click the link below. We look forward to seeing you!
The annual Champagne & Diamond Event is set for April 18, 2020, at the Elk's Lodge #656 located at 401 Harvester Road, Chillicothe, MO. We are doing a masquerade themed event this year to celebrate the events 10th year! Social Hour is at 5:00 with the event kicking off at 6 p.m. Dancing and a silent/live auction to follow dinner, where you are encouraged to request the music you like to listen to. Auction items are usually themed baskets or individual larger items. Towards the end of the evening, there will be a drawing held for a stunning piece of diamond jewelry donated by Lauhoff Jewelry valued at $2,000. We are very thankful to have received this generous and thoughtful donation from the Green Hills Regional Planning Commission today! Their donation included a multitude of general office supplies, cleaning supplies, DVD's & DVD cases as well as Play-Doh for the kids. We are extremely grateful for the continuing support of our local community and again would like to say Thank You from all of us here at the North Central Missouri Children's Advocacy Center.
The Play It Safe! internet safety program was presented to the 6-8 grade students at the Laredo R-VII School and the Winston R-VI School the first part of December, just in time for the holiday break when they may find more time for unsupervised internet use. Play It Safe! teaches children the dangers of sexting and Cyberbullying and how they can recognize these behaviors as dangerous and abusive, and what they can do to keep safe while exploring the internet.
