The North Central Missouri Children's Advocacy Center was recently notified that the application for re-accreditation by the National Children's Alliance (NCA) was approved. NCA requires specific standards the Advocacy Center must meet and operate under in order to qualify as an accredited center. The center must go through the accreditation process once every five years to remain in good-standing.
The North Central Missouri Children’s Advocacy Center is partnering with Missouri KidsFirst in promoting April as Child Abuse Prevention month by offering Go Blue t-shirts at a purchase price of $12 each. The words “Inspire Change” are on the front of the shirt with a quote by Frederick Douglass on the back that reads, “It is easier to build strong children than to repair broken adults.” Shirts are 50% cotton/50% poly blend with tapered neck, double needle stitched sleeves and bottom hem. The shirts come in sizes S, M, L, XL, 2X and 3X.
The "Go Blue" date is scheduled for Friday, April 16, 2010. Anyone within the service area of the center interested in purchasing a t-shirt may order it by contacting the office at 660-359-2974. These shirts are expected to be available at the Center office March 8, 2010. Get yours while supplies last!
