Trenton Trick or Treat Night

On October 26, 2009, the Trenton Ambassadors of the Trenton Area Chamber of Commerce again hosted a Trick or Treat Night for area critters, ghosts and ghouls to safely gather treats.  The North Central Missouri Children’s Advocacy Center booth attracted many visitors as seen in the photos below.  Special thanks to Maggie Bush for her assistance, entertainment and treats provided to the Center.

Milan Communty Health Fair

The North Central Missouri Children’s Advocacy Center participated in a Health Fair sponsored by the Milan Community Center on Sunday, October 25, 2009.  The Fair solicited blood donations and presented information on various health related services provided to the community.  The CAC held a drawing for a basketball which was won by Fair participant Diego Chavez.  Congratulations to Diego!

Trick or Treat Night

The North Central Missouri Children’s Advocacy Center will once again participate in the annual "Trick or Treat Night" on Monday, Oct. 26 at the Trenton Rock Barn between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

 

The event is held to provide area children with a safe place to "trick or treat." As in the past, participants will set up decorated booths with candy and other Halloween-related items and children will be allowed to visit each booth to pick up their "tricks" or "treats." There will also be face painting available. There is no cost to businesses and organizations

for participation.

Local State Representative Visits CAC

Guernsey CAC visit 
Missouri State Representative Casey Guernsey visited the North Central Missouri Children's Advocacy Center in Trenton on Wednesday,September 30, 2009, where he met with several of the CAC staff and Board members.  Rep. Guernsey was given a tour and information on services provided to children reported and or suspected of abuse.  Present during his visit was (l to r): Lori Irvine, CAC board member; Terry Tomes, CAC board president; Donita Little, CAC board vice president; Rep. Guernsey; Verna Kelsey, CAC executive director; Heather Swymeler, CAC forensic interviewer; and Sheila Serfass, CAC child advocate.
